\n The North Korean Foreign Ministry\u2019s Disarmament and Peace Institute released the criticism following the conclusion of South Korea and the United States\u2019 11-day joint “Freedom Shield Exercise” on Thursday.\n <\/p>\n

\n North Korea stated that the hostile and provocative character of this year’s exercises reached an all-time high, as reported by KCNA.\n <\/p>\n

\n At the start of this month, North Korea launched unspecified ballistic missiles. The country\u2019s state media outlet, Pyongyang, issued successive statements criticizing the recent combined exercises conducted by Washington and Seoul. They warned that both Seoul and Washington would face a \u201cterrible\u201d consequence for engaging in what they described as a \u201crisky provocation.\u201d\n <\/p>\n

\n Kim had “significant and beneficial” talks with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in Pyongyang the day before. During the discussion, they covered various topics concerning the defense of each country\u2019s security interests along with broader regional and international matters, reaffirming their agreement on these points.
