{"id":3574,"date":"2025-03-30T16:14:00","date_gmt":"2025-03-30T16:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sanggraloka.com\/iran-snubs-direct-nuclear-talks-as-trump-vows-bombing-threats\/"},"modified":"2025-03-30T16:14:00","modified_gmt":"2025-03-30T16:14:00","slug":"iran-snubs-direct-nuclear-talks-as-trump-vows-bombing-threats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sanggraloka.com\/en\/iran-snubs-direct-nuclear-talks-as-trump-vows-bombing-threats\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran Snubs Direct Nuclear Talks as Trump Vows Bombing Threats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<strong><br \/>\n  Iran remains doubtful about US President Donald Trump&#8217;s efforts to establish a new nuclear agreement, following his decision to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2018 during his initial term.<br \/>\n <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian rejected the notion of direct talks with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Iran\u2019s nuclear program on Sunday.\n<\/p>\n<h3>\n Pezeshkian: US Must &#8216;Build Trust&#8217; Following Previous Broken Promises<br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<p>\n \u201cWe replied to the U.S. president\u2019s letter through Oman and declined the possibility of direct discussions, however, we remain open to indirect negotiations,\u201d Pezeshkian stated while sitting down with his cabinet, as shown in an airing on Iranian television.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n We aren\u2019t shying away from discussions; rather, it\u2019s the failure to keep promises that has led to our problems up until now,&#8221; Pezeshkian stated. &#8220;It\u2019s essential for them to demonstrate their ability to foster trust.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n In 2018, during his first term, Trump withdrew the United States from the nuclear deal with Iran referred to as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n The agreement offered sanctions relief to Iran, in return requiring the Iranian government to limit its nuclear program and permit inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency at its enrichment facilities on a regular basis. Other signatories include France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the European Union as part of the JCPOA.\n<\/p>\n<h3>\n Trump threatens bombing if no new Iran nuclear agreement is reached<br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<p>\n Earlier this month, Trump dispatched a letter to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, encouraging Iran to negotiate a fresh nuclear agreement with the United States during what he envisions as his next presidential term at the helm of the White House.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n During an interview with NBC News, Trump presented new statements on<br \/>\n threats<br \/>\n In the direction of Iran if there isn&#8217;t a new nuclear deal with the US.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n \u201cIf an agreement isn\u2019t reached,\u201d Trump stated to the news source on Saturday night about Iran, \u201cthere will be bombings.
