The digital travel company Agoda has announced that Bangkok has been recognized as the top repeat destination in Asia for the second year in a row, according to bookings made during the first six months of 2025.

The city keeps drawing visitors with its vibrant atmosphere, exceptional food scene, and famous sights like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun.

The top five were completed by Tokyo, Seoul, Bali, and Osaka.

Thailand topped the list, with four additional locations — Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Hat Yai — also appearing within the top 10.

This underscores the nation’s broad attractiveness and varied geographical characteristics.

Other entries on the list are Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor Bahru (Malaysia), Da Nang (Vietnam), and Hong Kong.

As per Agoda, numerous travelers come back to discover hidden sights, visit beloved places, or experience the ease of known environments.

Strikingly, many users revisited these locations multiple times within only six months.

Akaporn Rodkong, Agoda’s representative in Thailand, mentioned that returning visitors serve as a clear sign of a location’s enduring attractiveness.

She further stated that Bangkok’s ongoing prosperity stems from its vibrant culture, exceptional cuisine, and effective partnership between the travel industry and governmental bodies.

The Thai Tourism Authority (TAT) is launching specific promotions designed to draw additional tourists from major sources such as India, China, Malaysia, Laos, and Vietnam.
