Austin, arrived at the meeting room prior to when the Chiefs had planned for their last optional off-season practice session.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n He started having a seizure, and Kicker Harrison Butker promptly rushed to the trainer&#8217;s room to call for medical help.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n The individual, who was 26 years old, was put on a ventilator and deeply sedated but recovered completely.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n On Monday, for his birthday, he shared three photos along with this caption: &#8216;Nearly didn\u2019t make it to 25&#8230; Grateful still to be celebrating my 26th.&#8217;\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-document-id=\"cms\/api\/amp\/image\/AA1BCGht\" data-reference=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1BCGht.jpg\"\/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" data-document-id=\"cms\/api\/amp\/image\/AA1BCMW5\" data-reference=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1BCMW5.jpg\"\/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" data-document-id=\"cms\/api\/amp\/image\/AA1BCPzV\" data-reference=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1BCPzV.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n Although two images seemed to depict Thompson enjoying a holiday, the third one revealed the severity of his health crisis.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n It depicts him resting in a hospital bed on a respirator, apparently right after his ordeal.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n Thompson, who began the 2024 season on the non-football illness list, didn\u2019t see any action with the Chiefs even though they reached the Super Bowl last year.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n He might get an opportunity for a visit to the White House in the upcoming weeks, though.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n President Donald Trump announced on Saturday evening that he would be hosting the Chiefs after welcoming the reigning Super Bowl winners, the Philadelphia Eagles.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n Trump said to &#8220;Outkick the Show&#8221; podcast host Clay Travis that he was anticipating hosting the Chiefs after attending a White House event on April 28 honoring the Eagles, who had previously defeated the Chiefs 40-22 in New Orleans earlier that month.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\n Trump mentioned that the Chiefs&#8217; upcoming visit would compensate for 2020 when they were unable to come following their Super Bowl victory because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
