{"id":3279,"date":"2025-03-28T04:49:44","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T04:49:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sanggraloka.com\/bpi-introduces-new-check-format-for-seamless-mobile-deposits\/"},"modified":"2025-03-28T04:49:44","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T04:49:44","slug":"bpi-introduces-new-check-format-for-seamless-mobile-deposits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sanggraloka.com\/id\/bpi-introduces-new-check-format-for-seamless-mobile-deposits\/","title":{"rendered":"BPI Introduces New Check Format for Seamless Mobile Deposits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n MANILA \u2014 The Bank of the Philippine Islands now mandates a revised format for check deposits via its mobile application.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n Starting<br \/>\n <strong><br \/>\n  April 1<br \/>\n <\/strong><br \/>\n Customers planning to deposit their checks digitally should write &#8220;BPI\/&#8221; followed by the payee\u2019s BPI account number above the payee&#8217;s name.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n Behind the check, they must also include the date of the mobile check deposit along with the payer&#8217;s signature.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n The previous format mandated that clients write the payer&#8217;s account number at the back of the check.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" data-document-id=\"cms\/api\/amp\/image\/AA1BOwgi\" data-reference=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1BOwgi.jpg\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n BPI stated that they will process checks in their present form\u2014which looks like what\u2019s depicted below\u2014only up until<br \/>\n <strong><br \/>\n  March 31.<br \/>\n <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" data-document-id=\"cms\/api\/amp\/image\/AA1BODzY\" data-reference=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AA1BODzY.jpg\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n The bank mentioned that these new rules align with the updated mobile check deposit guidelines set by the Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n The lender mentioned that their app&#8217;s mobile check deposit feature accepts checks for amounts under \u20b1500,000.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n BPI mentioned that mobile check deposits will follow the same clearing guidelines as those submitted at physical branch locations.
