Prince Harry has praised the efforts of his sustainable tourism project in a newly released video, even as the controversy surrounding his charity Sentebale continues to intensify.

Travalyst was established in 2019 with the objective of assisting travelers in reducing their carbon footprint, avoiding overcrowding in tourist destinations, and boosting local economies.
Today saw the release of a ‘Five-Year Milestone Report,’ accompanied by a video where Harry stated that insufficient progress has been achieved regarding sustainability objectives.
However, the Duke—who has previously been criticized for using private jets during his advocacy on environmental issues—did not address the Sentebale crisis.
In the two-minute video recorded at Harry’s £12 million home in Montecito, he stated: “These circumstances present us with a decision—to seek out feasible solutions to
climate change

Harry mentioned that the primary aim of Travelyst, supported by leading international corporations, is straightforward.

In his introduction to the report, Harry emphasized the impact of tourists as agents of change, stating: “The previous year witnessed an astounding total of 1.4 billion international tourist arrivals worldwide.”
With an increasing number of travelers, there is significant potential for them to promote inclusive development in the places they visit.
However, they should be equipped with the necessary information to ensure these journeys have an impact, making certain that their travel arrangements—and expenditures—help build flourishing ecosystems and prosperous communities.
Travalyst mentioned that the research they commissioned from YouGov showed travelers aren’t yet taking actions significant enough to ‘make a substantial difference’.
Among those with travel plans for this year, 30 percent of UK travelers and 42 percent of US travelers took into account the sustainability initiatives of accommodations they were considering.
Nevertheless, merely 13 percent of British travelers and 18 percent of U.S. travelers considered this when making their choices.

Nonetheless, the unveiling of the report has been clouded by a conflict between Sentebale Chairwoman Sophie Chandauka and the organization’s co-founder Harry, who stepped down as its patron the previous week due to internal disputes within the board.
The Duke has faced accusations of delivering an ‘offensive’ and ‘domineering’ message to Dr Chandauka following her failure to dispel speculations about a disagreement with his spouse, Meghan Markle.
Ms Chandauka has additionally claimed that Harry attempted to ‘expel’ her using ‘intimidation’ and ‘harassment,’ whereas a source near the previous trustees and supporters of Sentebale refuted her remarks over the weekend as a ‘bid for attention.’
At a Sentebale charity polo event in Florida during last April’s award ceremony, Meghan seemed to direct where people should stand, leading to an uncomfortable scene when Dr. Chandauka shifted from standing next to Prince Harry to moving closer to Meghan, even as he passed underneath the trophy.
One of Harry’s teammates supposedly requested Ms Chandauka to release a statement dismissing rumors regarding conflicts with Meghan. However, after she declined, the Duke apparently reached out to her personally.
It was alleged that Harry insisted she clarify her position, with informants indicating that the letter had an unpleasant tone and employed imperious language.
In 2006, The Duke established Sentebale in tribute to his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. This organization aims to support young individuals and children in southern Africa, especially those affected by HIV and AIDS.
However, multiple trustees have departed from the organization due to disagreements with Dr. Chandauka, after they had asked for her resignation.
The Times reports that the conflict stemmed from a choice to concentrate fundraising efforts in Africa; however, a person closely associated with Harry refutes this claim.
The former trustees Timothy Boucher, Mark Dyer—a mentor and close confidant to Harry—Audrey Kgosidintsi, Kelello Lerotholi, and Damian West stated that their choice to step down was profoundly distressing yet stemmed from “our eroded trust and faith in the board chairman.”
A person familiar with the trustees and patrons characterized Ms. Chandauka’s interviews as a “publicity stunt,” stating further, “They stand resolute in their decision to resign for the benefit of the charity and anticipate the determination of the facts.”
Last week, in a collaborative announcement, Harry and Prince Seeiso supported the outgoing trustees and temporarily withdrew their patronage, stating that they found it ‘heartbreaking’ that the connection between Sentebale’s trustees and the board chairman had deteriorated irreparably.
